How To Use Exercises To Stop Snoring

If you and your spouse suffer from horrible snoring, You are not alone. 23% couples suffer seriously from this terrible condition.

The problem isn’t just the irritation of staying awake the whole night or waking up from a souse’s elbow over and over again. Not getting enough rest is simple life threatening.

It is life threatening for example when you loose your focus in a heavy traffic during the day. In our modern world, loosing focus for few seconds is a straight way to an accident.

It’s also life threatening because your whole emotional and physical balance will suffer. Nerves breakdown, stroke, and heart-attack are only three examples.

You can’t blame your self or your partner. You’ve probably tried several things to eliminate the snoring but nothing helped. I’ve had many clients who undertook expensive, dangerous surgery, only to find them self worse off afterwards.

To be able to cure your snoring, you must know what causes it.

Snoring is always caused by some kind of blockage in the breathing passage.

When the breathing passage is blocked, the airflow (breathing) becomes irregular, not smoothly flowing like it should be.

This irregular airflow slams the soft tissues in your breathing passages around like a door in a wind. Your throat and mouth become like speakers, powered by powerful quantifier and your partner can’t sleep.

The noise becomes really bad when the soft palate (a flexible part of the back of the roof of the mouth) also begins to vibrate. Sometimes, if the soft palate is weak, then the tip of it will bang down on the tongue (which may be dropping into the throat at the same time) like a bongo drum.

It can be very complicated to cure snoring despite the fact, it only has one main cause. The reason is that the blocks vary so much. And what’s worse, most people have more than one type of block, causing their snoring.

Here are just few examples of what can cause your snoring…

2) Weak tongue also falls into the throat and block it. This is very common if you sleep on your back but can also happen when sleeping on your site.

3) Tense jaw muscles put pressure on the breathing passages. This is what many dentist try to deal with by putting in dental implant. An easier way to avoid this is loosing up and relaxing the jaw muscles.

4) I mentioned the soft palate before. If it is weak, then it will flap around more easily and make the snoring sound. Notice that most of the time, the soft palate is not too big. It’s too weak.

4)The Soft palate may be too weak and not firm enough and will lay too close to the tongue, making it very easy to flap around and make the irritating snoring sounds.

6) Finally, anything that builds up in your throat will work as a dam for your breathing passage. The most common dams are fat or cigarette tags in the throat or allergy in the nasals.

So How Can You Get Rid of the Blocks That Cause Your Snoring ?

I guess when you look at it, it’s just a common sense. I’ve found that you can train this part of your body like any other part. Working out the breathing passages.

Using few exercises, each focused on one area in and around your throat, will remove ANY block you have. No matter what’s causing your snoring.

The simplicity of this is that no matter what blocks your breathing passage, the same few exercises will cure you.

Training the tongue will strengthen in and by doing that, prevent it from dropping into your throat when you sleep.

Loosing up the Jaw, using the jaw exercises will remove any tension from it. You’ll be surprised how much easier you’ll breath after you do the Jaw exercises.

The throat exercises open up the throat, preventing it from closing when you sleep. They’ll also strengthen and lift up your soft palate, so it won’t flap any more.

It’s about working smart not hard.

You make the choice how many minutes a day you want to train. The minimal time is only 3 minutes.

How long you exercise every day is up to you. You can train for as little as three minutes a day.

For quick permanent results, I recommend taking the program that requires ten minutes a day commitment.

It varies a lot between people how quickly the exercises work. I recommend that you be ready to work the program for two months. The program will most likely stop your snoring quicker than that. But if you’re ready to give it full blast for two months, you’re guaranteed to cure your self.

And you should be ready to commit for about two months to permanently cure your snoring. Although most likely you will have quiet nights long before those two months are up.

I hope I’ll soon receive your success story. I love nothing more than opening my email in the morning and reading the stories on how my clients healed them selves using my exercises.

Snoring is putting such a strain on many relationships. Many people have been forced to sleep separately. Other have learned to live with it but there is always a hidden resentment. I hope you give the exercises a try. I hope you give me the benefit of the doubt to try commit to working the exercises for few weeks. And I promise you, there will be nothing but quiet, restful nights in your future.

Tennis Ball Cures Snoring

Scientists in Australia claim to have discovered that a simple tennis ball is the best cure for snoring.

The Herald Sun says Melbourne researchers claim 80 per cent of snorers were cured when they wore a fabric sling with a tennis ball on their backs while sleeping.

This forced them to sleep on their sides - also preventing a potentially life-threatening condition known as sleep apnoea.

This is where a person stops breathing for a few seconds and often starts thrashing about.

In such situations they can run the risk of having a heart attack.

Austin Health researcher Dr Maree Barnes said a tennis ball could help in a half to two-thirds of apnoea cases linked to sleeping position.

Although a tennis ball cure was first mooted in 1908, Dr Barnes says its success depends largely on the design of the sling it is held in.

“It’s a fabric band that wraps around the waist, then straps over the shoulder, then the tennis ball is in a pouch that is attached to the waistband,” she said.

“People may decide to sew a little pouch on the back of a T-shirt. The trouble is that may slip around because most T-shirts aren’t skin-tight.”

She also said patients should seek the advice of a doctor before trying the treatment.

For Women, Snoring Peaks In Their 50S

A survey of close to 7,000 women aged 20 years or older shows that snoring is most common among women in their fifties and the heavier a woman is, the more likely she is to snore.

Dr. Malin Svensson of Uppsala University and colleagues conducted the survey to identify risk factors associated with snoring, paying particular attention to body mass index (BMI) — a measure of weight in relation to height.

Overall, 7.6 percent of the women surveyed reported snoring. The likelihood of snoring increased with age, peaking in the 50- to 59-year-old age group, 14 percent of whom reported snoring.

Snoring risk also increased with BMI and neck circumference, while women who smoked 10 cigarettes or more daily also were more likely to snore. Snorers also tended to be less physically active than non-snorers. Alcohol dependence only increased snoring risk among underweight women, meaning those with BMIs below 20, while physical inactivity boosted the risk of snoring only in women with BMIs above 30.

These results suggest that risk factors for snoring vary based on a women’s BMI, the authors conclude. Snoring itself has been tied to adverse health effects like high blood pressure and stroke, and is an indicator of sleep apnea, a type of sleep-disordered breathing linked to heart disease and other serious health problems, Svensson and her team note in the journal Chest. “The question of whether risk factors for sleep apnea differ with age and BMI in a similar manner remains to be investigated,” they conclude.

Learn To Stop Snore Guaranteed

If you and your spouse suffer from horrible snoring, You are not alone. 23% couples suffer seriously from this terrible condition.

It’s not just the irritation of the snoring sound or how draining it is to stay awake all night long listening to a partner snore (it’s the most common form of Insomnia). The worst part is risking your or your partners life by being tired all day long.

It is life threatening for example when you loose your focus in a heavy traffic during the day. In our modern world, loosing focus for few seconds is a straight way to an accident.

Not only that. The physical and emotional site-effects of not getting enough sleep can be something like nerves breakdown, stroke or heart attacks. Just to name few.

You can’t blame your self or your partner. You’ve probably tried several things to eliminate the snoring but nothing helped. I’ve had many clients who undertook expensive, dangerous surgery, only to find them self worse off afterwards.

For you to understand exactly where I’m coming from, before I tell you what will work for you, let me explains what is causing you to snore.

Snoring is always caused by some kind of blockage in the breathing passage.

When the breathing passage is blocked, the airflow (breathing) becomes irregular, not smoothly flowing like it should be.

The irregular airflow causes the soft tissues in the breathing passages to flap. And that flap causes the snoring sound. It’s like a door slamming in and out in a wind.

The noise really gets loud when the soft palate (soft part at the back of the upper part of the mouth) begins to flap around. This most often happens when the soft palate is weak (not too big like most people claim).

Examples of what can cause snoring…

1) The throat may be weak and close down when sleeping. This is the most common cause of sleep apnea, very serious condition where snoring is just a one sign.

2) Your tongue may drop into your throat when you sleep and block it. The tongue is a muscle and if that muscle is weak, then it’s more likely to drop into the throat.

2) The tongue often falls into the throat, when it is too weak, and blocks it. This may happen even if you sleep on your side.

4) I mentioned the soft palate before. If it is weak, then it will flap around more easily and make the snoring sound. Notice that most of the time, the soft palate is not too big. It’s too weak.

5) I often say, ‘no muscle is an island’ … meaning, every muscle in your body is interconnected. If you’ve tense shoulders or neck, all the muscles around your throat will be more tense and put pressure on it. The same way as if you squeeze a plastic bottle.

6) Finally, anything that builds up in your throat will work as a dam for your breathing passage. The most common dams are fat or cigarette tags in the throat or allergy in the nasals.

6) Anything that might gather in the throat, like fat or tar from cigarette smoke, will narrow the throat and cause snoring.

I’ve of course only named few causes but there are endless other.

But the big question is; how can we get rid of these blocks?

The beauty of working out your breathing passage is that the same exercises will work for what ever may be blocking your throat.

What you will do is strengthening the whole breathing passage and the area around it.

By doing simple throat exercises your soft palate and the whole area from bellow your voice box up into your nasals and everything in-between will be strengthened and refreshed. Plus it will clean the throat of any fat or tar.

Strengthening your tongue prevents it from falling into your throat.

Loosing up your Jaw muscles stops it from pressing on the breathing passage. You’ll be amazed how much more easy your breathing will be after you train your jaw muscles.

The throat exercises open up the throat, preventing it from closing when you sleep. They’ll also strengthen and lift up your soft palate, so it won’t flap any more.

This is only small example how you can exercise your breathing passage.

How much effort you want to put into this is up to you. Training for as little as 3 minutes will do the trick.

How long you exercise every day is up to you. You can train for as little as three minutes a day.

I’ve seen people treat their snoring in as little as couple of days. Few weeks is more the norm tough. If you commit to 7-12 minutes a day for couple of months, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be snore free before that time is up.

New Information On How To Stop Snoring

If you or someone close to you snores, there’s new information on how to stop the snoring, as well as the life-threatening condition known as sleep apnea.

When the sun goes down and the lights go out in Buffalo, 25-percent of people do it. Snore, that is. “I had to move my room to the basement because I couldn’t deal with the snoring,” a woman on Elmwood Avenue tells us about her husband.

Twice as many men snore as women. “I snore like a chain saw,” says a Buffalo streets worker.

“He snores like an old man,” a Buffalo bike shop owner says, and he’s talking about his dog. But mostly it’s people who do it.

“What do you do about it?” we asked the streets worker.

“Nothing,” he says. “Nothing?” we ask. “Nothing,” comes the reply.

“How can she put up with you?” we ask.

“She loves me to death,” he says, and he could be more right than he knows. That’s because snoring is annoying, it’s disruptive, but it can also be something else.

Snoring can be a warning sign about a thief in the night. It can steal your health and even your life. “High blood pressure, heart disease, and now there’s some research to indicate it might be a risk factor for stroke,” says Buffalo sleep specialist Dr. Daniel Rifkin.

The disorder is sleep apnea, the collapse of the breathing passage at night. It’s the silence between snores. Shopkeeper Luanne DiBernardo says, “I’d wake him up just because it’s so frightening. It actually sounds like he’s stopped breathing.”

The death of NFL great Reggie White in 2004 was believed caused in part by sleep apnea. So was the death of Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy Cheryl Price in 1994. “Some of these people in the laboratory actually hold their breath for minutes, two or three minutes at a time,” says Rifkin,” and it’s life-threatening.”

I know the threat first hand. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea in 2001. A mouthpiece to pull the lower jaw forward, surgery of the soft palate, and something called somnoplasty to stiffen the palate were among the remedies available at the time.

“They worked initially,” says Rifkin, “and then when you looked at these patients four or five years down the road, they actually stopped working. Somehow the tissue sort of reconfigured itself to bring the apnea back.”

But Rifkin says something called a CPAP–pronounced “SEE-pap”–always works. “If you can tolerate the CPAP,” I ask, “there’s a 100- percent chance it’ll work?”

“Right,” replies Rifkin. “As long as you can breathe through your nose, it should always work.”

CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Air Pressure. The air is delivered by a small bedside pump, through a plastic hose to a mask that’s held over the nose by straps which go around the head. I try it on.

“The air will flow through the holes into the nostrils,” Rifkin explains, “keeping your breathing passages open.

“I”m going to get used to this?” I ask about the clumsy-looking arrangement.

“You should,” says Rifkin. “It should eliminate both your snoring and your apnea. You’ll feel better and be healthier.”

And that’s why some people go to the trouble to put on the CPAP mask every night. It could save their life. Rifkin says we humans are built with a soft, pliable mouth and throat so that we can speak. But that also leaves people vulnerable to apnea.

“The way God made us, made us susceptible to sleep apnea,” says Rifkin, “so I guess it’s been around since Adam and Eve.”

But he adds that it doesn’t have to continue stealing health and life from so many people. He says research and experience is showing that the clumsy-looking CPAP system is proving itself as the most effect way of stopping that thief in the night.

New eBook Offers Good Night’s Sleep to 30 million Affected by Snoring

Ex-snorer Adrian Wernham has written an eBook detailing a simple, nature approach to controlling the causes of snoring so everyone can get a good night’s sleep

The timing of the release of Adrian Wernham’s new eBook Stop Snoring Secrets Revealed is a dream come true and not just for the author. The revolutionary approach to stop raspy, rattling, sleep-disrupting snores will hit the shelves just in time to coincide with the UK’s annual National Stop Snoring Week.

According to the British Snoring & Sleep Apnea Association, 10.5 million men and 4.5 million women snore in the U.K. alone, and their snoring is having an effect on another 15 million non-snorers. 58% of all snorers are between the ages of 50 and 59, Wernham reports, But a tremendous number of children snore, too.

The pity of it is, millions of people are losing sleep over nothing, says Wernham. Snoring can definitely be controlled!’

Snoring occurs when air is unable to move freely through a person’s nose and mouth during sleep. The sound can become so loud that it wakes the snorer up or disturbs the sleep of the person on the other side of the pillow, says Wernham.

Night after night of snoring can lead to exhaustion, fatigue and lack of physical energy the most common symptoms of sleep deprivation. Bad goes to worse when These physical conditions began to have a negative effect on mood reports Wernham.

It was his own struggles that led Wernham to find a solution for snoring. My spouse was so fed up with having to endure my snoring night after night that we ended sleeping in separate rooms, the author reports with candor. Unwilling to let a snore destroy my marriage, Wernham took action. I learned what treatments work and which treatments don’t work. I learned how to evaluate the degree of a person’s snoring problem. And I learned how to use things that surround us everyday to put an end to my problem.

What began as a personal journey became a professional enterprise when Wernham realized that what he had developed could help others.

Snoring Is Not To Be Taken Lightly

Snoring is actually a cry for help — it’s the sound of someone strangling as he struggles and gasps for air.

It’s the noise made when the sleeper attempts to force air past any obstructions in the upper airway. Other than making the snorer an object of ridicule and causing others sleepless nights, snoring is no laughing matter and can cause serious, long-term problems, including obstructive sleep apnea leading to certain cardiovascular problems.

Snoring is three times more common in obese people but the likelihood increases with age.

About 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women snore. Snoring occurs more often when people sleep on their backs because of how airway structures are positioned. Those prone to snoring may suffer from obesity, poor muscle tone in the tongue and throat, use of tranquilizers or excessive alcohol intake, excessive bulkiness of throat tissue, a long soft palate or uvula, obstructed nasal airways due to allergies, sinus infections or a deviated nasal septum.

More than 300 products are registered in the U.S. Patent and trademark Office as cures for snoring. Besides the old idea of sewing a sock holding a tennis ball on the pajama back to force the snorer to sleep on his side, other devices reposition the lower jaw forward or condition a person not to snore by producing unpleasant stimuli.

Other products like nasal decongestants and nasal strips, open blocked nasal air passages. Unproven cures advertised on infomercials such as nose or throat sprays containing peppermint, cayenne pepper or various oils can potentially be dangerous if aspirated into the lungs.

When loud snoring is interrupted by frequent episodes of totally obstructed breathing, it is known as obstructive sleep apnea. Serious episodes last more than 10 seconds each and may occur more than seven times an hour.

These episodes can reduce blood oxygen levels, causing the heart to pump harder, potentially leading to high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. The snorer must sleep lightly and keep his muscles tense to keep airflow to the lungs, causing poor nighttime sleep and excessive drowsiness during the day. Fortunately, this condition can successfully be treated by breathing support interventions such as continuous positive airway pressure, known as CPAP devices.

There’s no e-zzzzzzy solution for snoring. Besides losing weight and avoiding large meals, alcohol, smoking, tranquilizers, sleeping pills,or antihistamines before going to bed, I also recommend informing your sleeping partner, that it’s fine for them to wake you up, roll you over and do whatever’s necessary — short of asphyxiating you — to get you to stop snoring. Pleasant dreams.

Tips To Stop Snoring For Good

If you, or someone that you know, suffers from nighttime snoring they are likely to experience a restless night’s sleep whether or not they realize it. In addition, their family may also be suffering from loss of sleep due to the distraction.

There are many remedies available, which are said to cure snoring. However, before doing anything drastic or deciding to undergo surgery, perhaps there are some tips that may help either you or your loved one curb snoring and start to have a restful night’s sleep.

One of the most common reasons that people snore are because they sleep on their back and the fatty tissue in their throat relaxes and causes air passages to be blocked. Therefore, if the individual who suffers from snoring will try sleeping on their side, they may find some relief. One way to achieve this is by having the sufferer turn over on his/her side and place a large body pillow flat on the bed and against the subject. When he/she attempts to roll over on their back, they will find it difficult due to the presence of the pillow. In addition, there are special pillows that are designed to help those who snore.

The next tip to stop snoring is to do everything possible to avoid or correct allergy problems. Many things contribute to allergies, such as dust, cigarette smoke, pets, etc. In addition to allergies, colds and other sinus infections are known to promote snoring. Some cold and allergy medicines are available over the counter and may offer relief or, if other health problems are present, a physician should be consulted.

Obesity, another one of the most common reasons that people snore, should be corrected for many reasons. In addition to heart health and overall wellness, obesity allows the fatty tissue in the throat to relax during sleep and block the air passages of the throat. This occurrence is thought to cause snoring. Therefore, it is advisable to lose weight with the help of a supervised medical diet. While bettering your health, try to also avoid alcohol and cigarette smoke if possible because both are thought to induce snoring.

In more serious situations, where snoring cannot be corrected individually, the sufferer may decide to undergo surgery as a last resort. This may include procedures that include the removal or tonsils or the complete restructure of the mouth or jaws.

Finally, don’t discount non-invasive, inexpensive solutions out of hand. Although there are many “iffy” and unproven products on the market, there are some that are getting a lot of praise from users too. Chin straps have gotten a lot of press in the last year along with thousands of testimonials from users who claim to have ended their snoring completely the first night of use.

The chin strap solution simply keeps your jaw firmly and correctly positioned up and back and, with continued use, has been reported to actually re-train the muscles in the jaw and throat to remain closed. This is the best news open mouth snorers have ever received given that the alternative is invasive, expensive surgery.

This article is intended for informational purposes only. It should not be used as, or in place of, professional medical advice. Before beginning any treatment for snoring, please consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and remedy.

Learn To Play Didgeridoo And Stop Snoring

Researchers in Switzerland examined 25 patients who suffered from snoring and moderate obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, both common sleep disorders.

Half the group were given daily lessons in playing the didgeridoo, a wind instrument about 1.5 meters (yards) long which originated in northern Australia and is traditionally made from the trunk of a tree hollowed out by termites.

The study, published in the British Medical Journal’s online edition found that those who played the unusual instrument over a four-month trial period saw a significant improvement in their daytime sleepiness and apnea.

Their partners also reported less disturbance from snoring.

About 5% of the population has the syndrome, which can cause people to wake up regularly during the night, and common advice from doctors is to lose weight.

But the team, from the Zuercher Hoehenklinik Wald hospital, decided to investigate whether playing the Aboriginal wind instrument helped patients after hearing reports that it had solved some sleep-related problems.

The researchers said training the upper airways through the breathing techniques required to play the didgeridoo was behind the improvement.

“Our results may give hope to many people with moderate obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and snoring, as well as their partners,” the report’s authors said.

“There have been reports that people who have done singing have benefited in a similar way. However, most doctors would advise people to lose weight.”

Pillar: A Breakthrough Treatment for Snoring

A breakthrough snoring treatment lends new hope to those who suffer from sawing logs and to those who sleep next to a loud offender. The anti-snoring surgery involves incisions to insert small polyester pieces that open up the patient’s airway. The implants are placed in the small palate, leaving incisions no bigger than a pencil lead. The “pillar” procedure provides an alternative to undergoing major surgery and it takes only about 10 minutes.

Dr. Anthony Sertich, ear, nose & throat specialist: “What it does over a period of 6 to 12 weeks, it forms a little hardening of the palate and it keeps the palate from vibrating to create noise, and also it keeps it sturdy so that it doesn’t collapse.”

After about a day’s worth of throat pain, most patients feel better and can talk and swallow normally. Studies show the treatment to be 85% effective in helping sleep apnea and reducing bothersome snoring.
